When do tickets go on sale?

We currently have a pre-sale registration open. If you register for the pre-sale, you'll have exclusive access to tickets first, as well as the chance to WIN AN EPIC WEEKENDER PACKAGE! 

PRE SALE: Thursday 22nd January @ 4pm AEDT (that's Sydney time)

GENERAL ON SALE: Friday 23rd January @ 9am AEDT

How much are the tickets?

Early Bird tickets start at $99.90 including ALL fees and charges...even GST!
There are a very limited nuber of these and they usually sell out in the pre-sale.

First release tickets start at $109.90

I hear you yelling "Why do you do this? Why jack up the prices?"
Think of it like this; we're not jacking up the prices, we're rewarding the people who get their tickets early!

Getting there

Queen Elizabeth Park is located on Marice Parade Coolangatta opposite No. 60 and adjacent to the Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club

There is no public parking available at Queen Elizabeth Park.

Queen Elizabeth Park is centrally located on the Gold Coast and is easily accessible via public transport, including train, tram and local bus services.

We strongly encourage patrons to plan their journey in advance and allow extra travel time, particularly during peak periods.

Buses

There are multiple bus routes travelling to Coolangatta from all directions of the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, with the most frequent being bus routes 700, 760 and 768.

Train - Light Rail

Travelling from Northern Gold Coast or Brisbane regions you can transfer from train to the G:link (Gold Coast Light Rail) at Helensvale Station.

Depart the G:link at the Broadbeach South Station, walking to Station’s Stop A, and catching the 700 Bus to Griffith Street, Coolangatta

Lime Bikes

Staying close to the festival? Throughout the Gold Coast you will find electric assist bike rentals, Lime-E. Download the Lime app to locate the closest Lime-E to you, scan the QR code to unlock it and cycle your way to Cooly Rocks On. You can learn more about Lime-E bikes here.
 

Parking

There are multiple public buses travelling to Coolangatta from all directions of the Gold Coast. You may also choose to park and ride in the following locations and utilise public transport.

What time does the magic start?

Gates open at 2:00pm with the first act kicking off at 2:15pm.

We'll be all done by 10pm so you can be snuggled up in bed by midnight (not guaranteed).

Venue Info

Queen Elizabeth Park sits right by the beach in the heart of the Coolangatta - the perfect backdrop for a day of live music by the ocean.

As a coastal park, shade is limited, so come prepared with a hat, sunscreen and beach-friendly clothing.

Inside the festival you’ll find FOOD VANS catering to a range of dietary needs, TOILETS, and a FULLY STOCKED BAR to keep the good times rolling.

There’ll also be a MERCH TENT, FIRST AID, and FREE DRINKING WATER available - bring an empty reusable bottle to refill and you’re good to go.

Accessibility

Here Comes The Sun believes everyone should be able to experience the energy and joy of live music. We're committed to creating a festival that’s accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for all music lovers across all our venues

The event site is accessible, with dedicated entry lanes, accessible toilets, and a dedicated accessible viewing area available on site.

We proudly support the Sunflower Program, recognising that some disabilities are not immediately visible.

If you have specific access requirements, we recommend planning ahead to ensure the best possible experience on the day.

Age Restrictions

This is a licensed all ages event.
 

Everyone entering the site must have a ticket, there is no exceptions.
 
We will be putting in place the following control measures to manage the all ages event and ensure the legal  service of alcohol is maintained;

  • All Patrons will be wristbanded on entry with a tamper-proof wristband.

  • Patrons under the age of 18+ must have a Youth Ticket and will be given a separate coloured wristband to identify them from the Adults.

  • All Youth ticket holders MUST be accompanied at all times by a ticket-holding parent, relative or legal guardian who is aged over 25.

  • There will be a limit of 4 Youth ticket holders per 1 parent/ legal guardian.

  • Youth ticket holders must be with a Parent/ Guardian when entering the event.

  • While we are all ages, we do recommend the event may be unsuitable for minors under 15 years old as there will be very loud noise, high density crowds and possible use of profanities over the PA system.

  • We strongly recommend that patrons do not bring young children under 4 years old, including babes in arms.

  • To obtain an Over 18+ wristband that allows the purchase of alcohol, patrons  will require an accepted form of Photo Identification / Proof of Age (regardless of your age).

  • Patrons without an 18+ wristband will not be supplied liquor.
